On Sunday, November 17th at 10am, we invite you to join us for a very special service as we gather one last time at River Valley Rockford. Together, we’ll celebrate 35 years of God’s faithfulness, reflecting on the incredible ways He has worked through this church family. This service will be filled with songs of worship and stories that capture the heart of our community and the impact we’ve had together.
Following the service, we’ll continue the celebration with a reception, where we can share memories, enjoy fellowship, and express our gratitude for this church’s legacy. Whether you’ve been a part of River Valley for decades or joined us along the way, we would love for you to be there as we honor the past and trust God for the future. It was after much prayer, discernment, and seeking wise counsel, we’ve made the decision to close River Valley Rockford. This has not been an easy position to be in, but we believe it is the direction the Lord is leading us.
We understand that this news brings many emotions—sadness, uncertainty, maybe even a sense of loss. Please know that we, share in these feelings. But more importantly, we also believe that God is still working, even in this season of transition. Just as in Christ’s story, death gives way to resurrection—an ending can pave the way for new beginnings in ways we may not yet see.
